U.S. M43 Suspenders

The US M-1943 (M43) suspenders in OD7 (Olive Drab No. 7, dark green) are a late-war variant of American field equipment. Although collectors often refer to them as "M43 suspenders," they are technically the final version of the M-1936 suspenders, introduced around 1943-1944 when the color changed from khaki (OD3) to dark green (OD7).

Specifications & Identification

• Color: Made of heavy canvas webbing in OD7 green. Sometimes you see "transitional" sets where khaki and green components are mixed.
• Reinforcement: Unlike the early M1936 models, these often have reinforced, thicker shoulder straps for greater comfort when carrying heavy loads.
• Hardware: Equipped with metal snap hooks for attachment to the M1936 pistol belt or cartridge belts.
• Shoulder Pads: Late versions often have integrated shoulder pads.

Availability

Original WWII examples in OD7 are rarer than the standard khaki versions due to the short production run at the end of the war.
