The brass belt buckle for the Grenadiers of the Russian Imperial Army (Model 1894) is a buckle recognizable by the absence of the crossed cannons found on the artillery variant. This version was intended exclusively for the regular grenadier regiments of the Tsarist army.

• Design: The motif consists purely of a flaming grenade (a bomb with a large, multi-pointed flame above it), the ultimate symbol for grenadier units. The surrounding area is completely smooth.
• Material: Made of solid brass (yellow copper), which develops a dark, characteristic patina over the years.
• Attachment: Equipped on the reverse side with a soldered or fixed hook attachment (depending on early or late production) and a metal roller or bar to loop the belt through.
• Size: Approximately 82 mm x 53 mm, a standard size for the waist belts of lower ranks within the Imperial army.

These buckles were heavily worn during World War I and subsequently by the "White" armies during the Russian Civil War.
