€ 85,00
The WW2 US Thompson SMG 5-Pocket Magazine Pouch was a standard ammunition pouch from the Second World War, designed to carry five 20-round magazines for the .45 caliber Thompson submachine gun. These pouches were made of sturdy canvas (cotton webbing) and were attached to a standard M1936 pistol belt via a wide loop on the back.
Key Historic Features
- Capacity: Features 5 vertical, separate compartments that each held one straight 20-round magazine. (Note: The longer 30-round magazines introduced later in the war did not fit in this pouch; a 3-pocket variant was designed for those).
- Closure: Each pocket had its own flap secured with an authentic 'Lift-the-Dot' snap fastener to protect the ammunition from dirt.
- Color Variations: Early models were produced in Olive Drab No. 3 (a light khaki/sand color). From 1944 onward, production shifted to Olive Drab No. 7 (a darker, green shade).
- Markings: Usually featured a large "U.S." stamp on the back, often along with the manufacturer's initials and the year of production (e.g., Hoosier T. & C.CO. 1942).
