Dutch M53 Troop Helmet with a Linnemans-Schnetzer GmbH outer shell from 1956 and a Verblifa liner.
Configuration Features
- Outer Shell: Manufactured by the German firm Linnemans-Schnetzer (LS) in 1956. LS was a major supplier of shells for the Dutch military. The "LS" stamp and year are typically found on the inside of the rim.The outer shell has some dents.
- Liner: Manufactured by Verblifa (VB) (Vereenigde Blikfabrieken). Verblifa produced these laminate (fiber) liners between 1953 and 1956. Early VB liners are characterized by their olive drab color and the ventilation hole at the front.
- Historical Accuracy: While liners and shells were often mixed during reissue, this specific combination fits perfectly within the early production period of the M53 (which was introduced in 1953).
