British Bobby Helmet
The English Cleveland Constabulary bobby helmet, also known as the Custodian helmet, is an iconic part of the uniform of the Cleveland Police (which serves the Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, and Redcar & Cleveland areas).
Features of the helmet
Design: The helmet is a traditional British "beat duty helmet," based on 19th-century military designs.
Material: Older models were often made of cork or hardened felt covered with blue wool (serge), while modern versions are usually made of plastic.
Badge: The helmet features a metal Brunswick Star badge with the unit name in the center and the crown of the reigning monarch at the top.
Top: Cleveland helmets often use a rose top (a metal rose-shaped ornament that covers ventilation holes) or a comb style (comb-shaped ventilation).
