Dutch Marine Corps

The summer version of the Marine Corps field cap from the 1990s is distinguished by the material used and its lighter construction compared to the standard version.

Features of the Summer Version:

• Material: Made of lightweight, breathable ripstop cotton.
• Camouflage: In the classic M81 Woodland (Forest) pattern, identical to the rest of the Marine Corps combat uniform at the time.
• Model: A flat-top BDU (Battle Dress Uniform) model with a shorter peak.
• Construction: Unlike the winter or standard version, the summer version lacks a thick lining to provide maximum ventilation in warm conditions.
• Manufacturer: In the 1990s, Wegom (often referred to as Wegom B.V.) was one of the Dutch manufacturers that produced military headgear and clothing for the Ministry of Defence. In addition to the well-known manufacturer Hassing B.V., Wegom supplied various versions of the field cap for both the Royal Netherlands Army and the Marine Corps.
