Dutch Woodland Cap

The Royal Netherlands Army used a specific winter field cap in the 1990s.

Features of the Royal Netherlands Army Winter Cap:

• Model: A so-called "ear-flap cap" or beanie style, designed to withstand extreme cold.
• Camouflage: Made in Dutch Woodland (M90 pattern).
• Lining: The cap is fully lined with synthetic faux fur on the inside for insulation.
• Wearing: The cap has detachable ear flaps that can be fastened under the chin or on top of the cap with Velcro, depending on the weather conditions.
• Manufacturers: Well-known manufacturers for this winter version included Kloot Meijburg.
• Difference with the Royal Netherlands Marine Corps: While the Marine Corps retained the American BDU-style cap (even in winter), the Army used this specifically lined model that is more reminiscent of an "ushanka" style.
