French Beret

In the French Army, the 1st Train Regiment (1er Régiment du Train, abbreviated 1er RT) wears the standard dark blue beret (beret bleu foncé).

The Train Emblem

While each regiment has a specific regimental insignia on the chest, soldiers of the logistics branch (l'arme du Train) wear the general Train corps emblem on their berets.

• Symbolism: The emblem depicts an eagle with spread wings perched on a wheel (symbolizing transport and movement).
• Color: The beret insignia is silver for all ranks within this unit.

The 1st Train Regiment (1er RT)

The 1st Train Regiment, currently stationed in Monthléry, is one of the oldest logistics units. In addition to the general beret badge, members wear their specific regimental insignia (insigne de poitrine) on their uniforms, which often features the "Atlas" symbol (a figure carrying a globe), referring to the regiment's demanding logistical tasks.
