German Beret "Fernmeldetruppe"

In the German Army (Bundeswehr), soldiers in the Fernmeldetruppe (signal corps) wear a beret with the following specific features:

1. Beret Color

• Coral red (Korallenrot): This is the standard color for most combat support units (Kampfunterstützungstruppen), including signal corps, artillery, and the military police (Feldjäger).

2. The Beret Badge (Barettabzeichen)

The badge is made of silver-colored metal (often nickel silver) and contains specific symbolism:

• Lightning Bolt: A vertical lightning bolt running from the upper left to the lower right, symbolizing the speed and power of electronic communication.
• Border: The lightning bolt is surrounded by a wreath of oak leaves (Eichenlaubkranz), a traditional German military symbol of bravery and honor.
• Flag: At the bottom of the wreath is often a small shield with the German national colors (black, red, and gold).

3. Waffenfarbe (Arms' Color)
