Up for sale is a remarkable piece of WWII history: a pair of original Australian Military Pattern 10085 boots.

Due to strong ties within the British Commonwealth, these boots are sometimes mistaken for English footwear.

Features of the Pattern 10085:

• Origin: Introduced in 1942 for the Australian Imperial Force (AIF).
• Design: A minimalist and robust design made of sturdy brown leather with a double-stitched toe cap. The simplicity served to conserve materials during the war.
• Soles: Originally equipped with iron toe plates or specific "jungle cleats" for extra grip in rugged and marshy areas in the Far and Middle East. NO LONGER present on this pair.
• Size: EU 42 / 43 (approx. UK 8 / 9 or US 9 / 10).
