M-1936 Wire Cutter

A post-war M1936 / M1938 wire cutter (often referred to as the M36 set) is a smart and budget-friendly choice. Many of these cutters were manufactured after 1945 or re-used by European armed forces. They offer the exact same classic look and robust functionality as the World War II model, but at a fraction of the cost.

• The Dutch Model (Royal Netherlands Army / MVO): Following the liberation, the Netherlands received vast amounts of American equipment through the Mutual Defense Aid Program. Later on, the matching canvas M1936 pouches were also produced locally in the Netherlands. These frequently feature stamps from the MVO (Ministerie van Oorlog / Ministry of War) or specific Dutch manufacturers, with production dates ranging from the 1950s to the 1990s.
