The Swiss M57 Ceremonial Dagger (also known as the Dress Dagger) is a rare, ceremonial variant of the standard M57 bayonet used for the SIG 57 rifle. Although the design closely resembles the bayonet, this specific version is intended as a ceremonial dagger and cannot be mounted on a rifle.

Features of the M57 Dagger

• Design: The dagger shares the same handle, blade, and scabbard as the standard M57 bayonet.
• Blade: It is a symmetrical, double-edged stainless steel blade. Some versions feature a hard chrome plating.
• Handle: Features the distinctive ribbed, black synthetic grip of the M57 series.
• Manufacturers: Most examples were manufactured by Wenger (identifiable by the "W" above the serial number) or Victorinox (identifiable by the "V").
• Functionality: Unlike the bayonet, the ceremonial dagger lacks the locking mechanism for mounting on a firearm.
