Brace Attachment MP White

In British military webbing (Pattern 1937), the standard load-bearing cross straps (braces) normally hook directly into the ammunition pouches. However, when an MP was on patrol, they often did not wear bulky ammunition pouches. To keep the service belt and equipment securely held up using the cross straps, they used these brace attachments.

Key Features

• Function: The attachment slides over the white service belt and features a metal buckle or loop on top. This allows the shoulder strap to be attached directly to the belt without the need for ammunition pouches.
• Material: Made of sturdy, tightly woven white canvas (cotton). In modern variants, this is made of white Courlene (glossy plastic) or heavy nylon.
• Hardware: Equipped with solid brass or blackened steel buckles, tips, and loops.
• The "Blanco" Finish: For the older Pattern 1937 styles, soldiers took standard khaki brace attachments and coated them with white "Blanco" paste to match their white MP belts.
